What do you think of the idea of carbon rationing?A cross-party alliance in Parliament is putting a carbon rationing scheme on the table--mandatory, government-imposed.

Is this a new eco-face version of the dreaded New World Order?

Or is it simple common sense? They talk of a new type of economy completed subordinated to the carbon ration system. Republicans over here would howl.

Should government have a control on how much energy you consume and how much carbon offput you generate? Isn't this meddling in people's daily lives?

But even if so, how else do we drastically cut back carbon so as not to push the climate into even more extreme perturbations?
