it made me sad that your digest commented on the fact that few of us are posting. i'm sure there are some like me that have read everything with interest, are following what's going on, have perhaps submitted art or something, but just don't have anything to post. so buck up little bronco, some of us are really here.

Agreed, I'm here too, just had a busy weekend. I love the amount of art and inspiration that I''ve been hearing about around the event so far.

Just so you understand how teh blogosphere works. Driven by ideas, statements, opinions, rants, posts or whatever - I can then comment on it.

Without the fodder - the source, the germ of the conversation = no conversation. I spend all day long doing this - just check out my blog.

But there have been no - zero - zilch - anything for me to hang off of. Less than two weeks to go and counting.

Moral of the story - you can't have a conversation by yourself. That's called a monolog.

i'm sorry to hear that. i did look at your personal blog as well as the be in blogs, michael's page, etc. mostly, i feel a little at the mercy of others, as i submitted art, and can only wait to see if any of it will be used. seeing the names of artists on the site, i am assuming i was not chosen. so i don't know if there is any way for me to still participate as i would like to. i have only lived in san fran for six weeks, so never been to a digital be-in. though i have a great interest in the topics mentioned, and have talked to michael about what kinds of art he's looking for, political or not, etc, i don't yet know what you're looking for in our posts. can you guide us more, ask questions, let us know what sorts of things you're looking for here, please?
the transparent network is most interesting to me when it leaves the digital realm, and goes into such things listed as remote viewing. while that is a system developed for dubious purposes, i do strongly believe that we all have the capacity to be able to tell what's going on elsewhere and relate to people without machinery. i feel that phones, computers, cars, all the things that give us crutches have atrophied our skills in that arena. we don't have to try to learn to astral project, develope telepathy, teleport, etc. not that everyone was learning that anyway before those things developed, in our culture. but in many cultures, they were. so it can be a substitute for the real thing, and any way the be in can address the real thing i think would be great.
i decided years ago that i would stop being an artist, and send images to people more directly. but not the images that i wanted to paint, and hope that they would resonate with the individual people to give them the kind of rush of inspiration they wanted. i could bypass my own artistic vision and go straight to the rush, with whatever images they needed to see. but not just a temporary funzie, but something that would elevate their consciousness permanantly. not something i forced onto them, but that they allowed in, participated in with their own consciousness. it worked very well, as i had a lot of practice as an energetic healer, and i was able to raise people's kundalinis, promote visions, higher states of awareness, releases, etc. there is a kind of invisible network of energies that allows this.
i then organized a group of people who were our own transparent network, avoiding the trappings of hierarchy through playfulness, avoiding labels by names that resisted labels. for example, we were not dadas, as a tantric group calls their monks, but nadas. which means not only nothing, in spanish, but is the vibrating sound of the word of reality itself, vibrating in and out of nothingness into somethingness. we had a magazine that addressed issues such as natural healing, going beyond the mass media to truth, freaky science, ley lines, and much more. our group developed psychic connections and interactions that were pushing the boundaries of what is possible. i was able to stay connected on some level with the people i was transmitting the energy to. it was definitely a transparent network, learning about the one that exists in the world naturally, together.
our nadis, the astral lines of energy in our body, are a kind of transparent network, and they go beyond our bodies, according to the tantric diagrams. the lines of our energy, such as the meridians, are very powerful, and can be traced by machine. i would love to see something like that at a be in, a doctor showing people that their meridians actually exist.
ley lines, power spots, corresponding to the chakras, etc in humans, are another form of the transparent network. people have used those for millenia, and i'd like to see people who do that now as speakers in future be ins. dowsing with some new technology, perhaps. people like bruce cathie who have studied the phenomena closely. i don't know in what way these sorts of things will be addressed in this be in, but the more the technology is used to honor the earth and our bodies, and spirits, the better, i think. especially considering the negative health effects of the electromagnetic pollution, the amazing detrimental affects of the computer industry on our planet, etc.
we're here for you. just talk to us more here. ask us. have your way with us.

however, i don't want to sound like i'm dissin the digital world. though i learned a lot of what i was able to do by living wild, away from electromagnetic pollution, the magazine was published with the use of a computer, i resumed my art career again, actually taking up digitally manipulated photography, and learn contantly from the underground media on the web. i just want to see it used consciously, remembering not only the computer web, but the other web. the word tantra has an accepted etymology that is--the web.
our body is a machine, using tantric and taoist practices, applied kinesiology, reflexology, etc, to affect one part by another, and to make the poles of the spine, and the pineal and pituitary to vibrate in unison. machines that can help with this are fasciinating, though have been used without conscience as well. such as the ones used to activate the kundalini in the montak time travel program. machinery that could be used to help people connect spiritually would be fascinating to see at the digital be ins, if the specific ones had a history of being used correctly.
so, i don't know if anything i'm saying is helpful, or on track, but i'm just throwing things out there to see what they spark, what conversation, what ever.
